Hair makes a big difference.Just taking the time to straighten your will make you look a tad more polished. For makeup you should go with the natural approach - pinks/peaches (depending on your skin tone) eyeshadow, glass, blush. Playing up your eyes is a good thing. The "smokey eye" look might make you look older and is pretty but def. not a daily thing. You can look on about.com for how to do the smokey eye. Clothing... sophisticated, clean.

Whatever your most comfortable in is the main key. Don't get high heels that make you get sores on your feet. Or don't get clothes that are so tight, they will rip off of you ANY second. Instead, look forward into a color that settles into your complexion, makes you tell other people that your not afraid to express yourself in your own way. Also, I would perfer flats! They are sooo cute and comfortable, ITS UNBELIEVEABLE! Um...if you want to get makeup, try putting blush lightly on your cheek bones and some shiny lip gloss on your lips! When you go looking for some products, look for some specific colors that would make it blend in, so it would still look like you, without anyone noticing that you have makeup on, but mainly a beautiful, natural-looking face! TRUST ME! I do it, and I hear everyone telling me that I look SOO BEAUTIFUL! :-) If you wear you hair up, try putting it down or if you wear you hair down, try putting it up. Its fun to try something completley different (opposite) with your normal hair. That way, you can see if it looks ok on you or not. You wouldn't want to go out in public having your hair the same exact look as any other day would you?! I hope this helps! :-)

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as another answerer said. The key to attracting people is being who you truly are and having confidence in yourself. You really shouldn't try to look older-I did and when I was 12 I looked like I was 20 and now that I'm 18 I look like I'm 28...I'm going to end up looking like I'm 40 by the time I reach 25!!! Don't do it!!! Enjoy youth while you still can!!!!!

the key to trying to appear older is don't try to look older. i have noticed that when people try to look older is that they end up looking like a sleeze. Therefore, you should try to wear more basic things, like instead of the t-shirt with a monkey on it, try a plain one. Also, try some new jewelry, like earrings to match your shirt.
