Actually no. My friends doctor said to have sex w/ her husband as much as possible during the first and 2nd trimester to help loosen the opening. But do not have sex in the 3rd trimester and 3 months after birth.
I dont know if it was because it was a special case....or that the doctor didnt know. But thats what she told me and her family.

There are so many "stories" it's always best to research any concern you have - You may find some helpful information at the "A Healthy Me" website - or the Mayo Clinic, (there's lots more out here). The sex issue is not only a health question for individuals, but also one of personal comfort & choice. Keep the lines of communication open between you&your partner. If you are uncomfortable convey this to your partner. Sex during pregnancy is fine, unless your OBGYN informs you otherwise. Also, talk with your OB about any conern you have, no matter how silly you may think it is, there's never a dumb question. You're gonna be a Mom, & you are already starting to think of your child's well being as a priority, this is wonderful. Congrat's and Good Luck!

In general, sex during pregnancy is fine. There may be restrictions from your doctor that you should take into account, though.
Sex is perfectly fine throughout pregnancy! I have never heard from any doctor that no woman should have sex in the third trimester or for the first three months after the child's birth.
My husband and I had sex all during my pregnancy and our daughter was born perfectly healthy and just one day before my due date. The last time we were together before she was born was the weekend before (she was born on a Tuesday).
Doctors generally recommend that you should abstain from sex for 6 weeks after childbirth (not 3 months!!!). My husband and I waited 3 weeks, not 6, and I had no problems whatsoever. The 6 week wait is recommended because your body needs a bit of time to heal.
Good luck and have fun!

No it doesn't don't worry. Your baby is safe up there as the cervix is closed and is at an angle so theres no way you could poke in there or dislodge anything. Lots of people don't even know they are pregnant at 1 month and continue to have sex and their babies are just fine.

I once knew a doctor who said "I don't recommend sex on the way to the hospital or in a ward, but otherwise, go for it!".Use a little commmon sense and observe the old practice of none for six weeks before or six weeks after. No kinky stuff at any time, and oral or manual if six weeks is too long,

Absolutely not. Stay in contact with your OBGYN. If there are problems they will tell you when not to have sex.
