just be yourself around him. if he likes your true personality, let hem know how you truly are, and if he doesnt like your real personality, then he's not worth it. don't always be goofy either. show him your serious side so he knows your not just a flirt. thats probably the biggest advice i can give you. and also get to know him really well. be sure he's being himself around you so you know if you really like him.
then, when you get closer, ask him to go with you to a movie, if not by yourselves, then w/ some close friends.
eventually, he has to realize that you like him, and if he never figures it out, tell him(if its not to akward).

Hun...you can't make someone like you. They have to come to you. You lead the horse to the river, but you can never make it drink the water. Be kind and let him know YOU better! well you cant really get him to like you but if you can talk to him, a boy myself, will get to know a girl better if she talks to him. but make sure you know the right thing to talk about. like if hes a skateboarder, dont talk about football untill he gets to know you a little better and then ask what are his hobbies? then most likely he will ask you urs, then you will ask him if hehas seen any movies lately and he will say no but im sure i could frinday . and then he will say wanna come?

try to talk to him and see if he likes u as a friend. if u sense a little flirtation then u know that he likes u. try to say hi in the hall ways but don't walk by and say hi but stop and say hi, then he'll know that ur not just saying hi to be nice but something more. make a move. be bold. good luck.

i think you should talk to him. but try not to act like you like him immediately. then after awhile. tell him. thats what i did and i went out with a guy i liked for 5 months.
