Basically, you just plug it into the pink/red microphone port (usually has a microphone icon on it) in the back of your computer on your sound card.
To record things, you need recording software.
To just use in chat rooms or whatever, it should be enabled when you turn voice on.

Look for the mic connector on back (Or possibly front) and plug it in. It may be pink colored. Just a note, you may have front connectors but they are not always actually plugged in so if that doesn't work try the back. Then open your volume control panel (bottom right, near time) and select microphone and make sure it is turned up, and not muted.

You don't have to install your microphone. Just look for a little Icon of a microphone on your computer and plug it in.
It is either on the front of your computer or the back near where your speakers are plugged in.
