Ellen Johnson- Sirleaf became the first female president in Liberia, Fall of 2005. Thats the only one I knew.

I don't know exactly... they are too many.... what I know is the first woman leader was a pharoah in Egypt....
another woman leader in History is Cleopatra. Germany has Merkel, the Philippines had Corazon Aquino and in present Gloria Arroyo, an economist and fierce president....
