It is my general observation through practical experience in the job market that people who belong to either one of the 5 professions are most respectable and get paid most:
1. Doctors(medical)
2. Accountants
3. Lawyers
4. Soldiers/Marines
5. Teachers
Now if someone does not fall into one of the above professions then it is worthy for him to become a "salesman" .
Now am i right to say or think like that? I want to reach to a conclusion. Please comment!

I meant to say that the rest are just "workers". Society does need their labour but not their thoughts or ideas.Tell me if i am wrong

being a salesman is not respectable in my eyes. i would however add entreprenuer and small business owner to the list, even if the entreprenuer or small business involves personal selling. you also forgot engineers, pilots, architects, computer programmers, land developers, scientists, investment fund managers, and a large list of other very respectable and highly paid professions.

Doctors/anyone involved with the medical field-INCLUDING EMT's & Paramedics; Law Enforcement/Military; Teachers/Professors or anyone involved with education; Human Services; Transportation services/Freight; Small Business/Entrepreneur.

Mot in any particular order, I'd say these are the top 6 respectable professions (I know you had 5, but I had to be fair). Some of these are not the best paying fields and require different levels of education within that particular field, anyone that works in any of these professions are benefitting their fellow man by performing their work. Even those running their own business are helping society by showing that through hard work and determination a person can be independent.

There are obviously many fields one can go into if he or she doesn't fall into these categories, and the pay may be as good or better than the 'respected fields'.

There have been many people that left great professions because of certain factors like burnout, etc. to take lesser-paying jobs that fit them best. The best career path for a person is the one that brings the most personal satisfaction to someone.

All humans are worthy, without patients, doctors would not even have a job.
I would say Surgeons are the most worthy, their skill hands
save lives everyday.
I say a celebrity or musician is next on the list and get paid more than the rest.

I think all professions when people really devote to them are worthy in society... imagine one day where we had no people taking care or street's garbage, or a week where they decided to do it poorly... we would all be loaded of garbage!!! then no Doctor or Accountant or Lawyer would be able take care of it... in my practical experience every profession is respectable and it's so when people devote to doing it perfectly.. regardless of what the profession is...
