Definitely depends upon the product. For instance.... Skippy Peanut Butter.. NOTHING ELSE will do. And my coffee creamer.. I only use "International Delight" coffee creamers (Coffee Mate is just too sugary for me).

But most other items I will explore "house brands" to save some money. In some situations I've found I've preferred the less expensive brands to the high dollar/highly advertised brand. And.. often they are manufactured by the SAME company!

Explore... and find out for yourself!

It depends on the product and the quality of the "no name" brand. My family shops and Costco quite a bit and Costco has the Kirkland brand of merchandise. Kirkland is usually pretty good and cheap than the name brands. On the other hand, not ever cheap brand will be of satisfactory quality.

Save a lot of money by buying generic products. In most cases, the generic equivalent is usually manufactured by brand names!

No name. Even when money's not tight, I'm used to it. There's nothing wrong with it really. I think it's the same thing. People are stuck on brand names and are willing to pay more. I'm not.

It depends on the item. Usually I will go for the less expensive. But if it is a musical instrument, I will go for a higher quality.

I look for quality, fit, and good price. That rarely leads to brand names. I especially dislike items with logos all over them, like Gucci purses or Nike clothing. If they want me to advertise their brand, they should pay me!
