Could be the deodorant. Check to see if it is just a deodorant or is it an anti-perspirant? Some of the stuff in the anti-perspirants make people itch, such as aluminum chloride.
Could be your soap. Try ivory and make sure you wash it off well.
Could be the soap used for washing your clothing. When you were younger (pre-puberty) it may have been OK but now that you hit puberty, you "sweat" differently.
To find out what is causing the problem, change one thing at a time. I would suggest starting with the deodorant.

Look at the clothing. Maybe you got wool? Alergic to something else? Maybe that shirt is too small around the pit area? Loosen up. And back off on the hard washing for now you have irritated the skin in that area (like scratching your skin too hard and now it is injured- so now you have an injury itch.

If a rash accompanies the itching, you're probably allergic to the soap or deoderant you are using. Washing your pits extra hard isn't going to help, just further the irritation. I honestly think it's a part of puberty. New stuff causes irritation.

Check the ingredients in your deodorant look for an ingredient called ALUMINUM HYPOCLORITE lots of folks don't respond well to this chemical well inclucing yours truly, it causes exactly what you have described I recommend Arm and Hammer Deodorant. and don't wash so hard that will only make it worse. uh another suggestion may be to trim with sciscors NOT shave your underarm hair just a little it might help, these are all suggestions GOOD luck!

like the others said, your probably alergic to the soap or deodorant. Try something new, and maybe try some Talcom Powder. It might look and sound dumb, but it will relieve the itch!!!
Good luck bud!

It sounds like a hot spot starting, you can get medication for it at pet stores, i can get it at k mart or walmart, even in my grocery store. try that an follow the directions to the T. You need to shave the area before treatment, that is what my vet does so the meds are directly on the skin. The hair will grow back don't think about how it looks.

Im about your age too, and i have it to, for about 6 months. I think it is because hair is coming through the skin and then growing. You dont have to wash your armpits alot, just do it normal and the pain should go away soon.

You may have an allergy to the ingredients in your deodorant. I would try another brand.
