Straight people tend to pierce left or both ears but not just the right.
Gay guys can do whatever they want, they usually pierce the left as well.
People rarely piecre just the right but this is "the side" that is associated with gay guys, hope this helps

It doesn't matter - there is no side you pierce to show your sexual orientation.
The LGBT community's used different fashion icons to indicate sexuality, but that was a while ago, and nobody uses them anymore. Most likely you'll see a rainbow symbol instead of the older ways (pinkie ring, earring on a certain side, etc) to indication if someone is gay/lesbian. But now there's no significance in getting either side pierced - anyone who says otherwise is WAY behind.

You pierce the side that you prefer, most comfortable, looks better so on so forth. Piercing is not associated with whether or not you are Gay. Sailors wore a gold earring to pay for burial, not for stating they preferred men. Lets wipe out all of those old dated bigoted sterotypes. Gor for it. You can pierce you whole body.

Typically, it's the right ear. I have my left pierced though, but it is a rainbow earring. -_^
