I believe they will make the UN start taking more action. The UN is currently a joke. About 3% of its members ever volunteer aid for anything. The UN military (mostly US forces) is like a barking dog on a choke chain that never sees any action and when it does it is extremely limited.
Therefore, I believe the Republicans can turn the UN around by holding it more accountable.

If Republicans were really the old republicians they would get out ot hte UN and kick out the riff raff from America. That is the only way we can have a stronger United Nations. As we don't need the UN.

By not being one partied, a double sighted man is unstable in all his ways. We will help creat a stronger United Nations when we become unified as a nation. If we don't succeed in this, we are most likely to only bring more confusion to the U.N.
U.N. is not good...how so?

The Republicans will never cede power to the UN, they want it all for themselves, so they can invade any country they want to by making up false intelligence and brainwashing the American people with fear and false patriotism. A true patriot Never stops questioning his government, they must be held accountable to the people.

i really do not see how the republicans at this stage of the game can create a stronger anything. they have eroded our standing in the world.. we have lost respect of most other countries.. they have embedded us into a useless war that there seems to be no way out of.. they have killed thousands of our young troops and spent billions and billions of our tax dollars on the war.. all the while not putting it in the budget so that they can still try and claim prosperity... The United nations... please keep our hands off of it.. it is in enough trouble without the United States.

Why on earth would we want to in the first place? I don't want the US to cede one jot of sovereignty. I don't particularly care what the government of say, Djibouti, thinks about an issue. We are the world's only superpower. As such, our opinion should count for 51% of the UN total. The US are the good guys, regardless of what Dems think.

first they need to recognize that the US has more power then they do, so in order to adapt to that, the UN needs to make compromises with us, not the other way around.
Second, they need to get a stronger military, maybe buy technology from the US or even other countries. Hold recruits or require countries to give soldiers to their cause.
Third, do something

Wrong question. You seem to be assuming that a stronger UN would be a goodthing. It wouldn't. Republicans (or Democrats for that matter) could improve the world by withdrawing from the UN & booting them out of the US.

withdraw and kick them off of our land. they're good for nothing.
they're too corrupt, they can't even try to police their own soldiers, who've been raping girls in Africa. (their solution: send female soldiers. laughable.) they are so corrupt it would do no good to try to fix it. we should scratch the UN and try again.
one thing that must not happen is that the UN have greater powers here. we should NOT listen to them on anything except what we want to listen to them on. we're not their subjects.
