Very rare, but I can't say that I have not used the 5 second rule when it was something I really wanted to eat and I trusted where it fell. Generally I will just throw it away or offer it to my cats or any other animal that may want it and is around.

After watching this testing on an episode of Mythbusters, I don't use the 5 second rule anymore.

All of my food gets dropped outdoors and I have to pick it up and eat it, and no the five second rule does not apply outdoors. =)

Within limits yes. However, I was also found outside eating grass when I was about 1.

No, but I have heard about this 5 second rule. I don't think that it matters if its exposed.

No that's nasty. I don't even do the 5 second rule. I just throw it away.
