I've never seen an episode or the movie, but I have it in my Netflix Queue.

I was just wondering about your opinions of the show and the movie. Was the movie worth watching? Should I watch the series first?? Any opinions are appreciated, thanks!!

Haven't gotten to see the movie yet, but the show was outrageously funny. First I saw of Stephen Colbert, and I think he's even funnier on 'Strangers' than on the 'Colbert Report.'

I would definitely watch the series first. I'd say the movie was only worth watching if you're a huge fan of the show and the actors. It was intended to be a "pre-quel" to the show but is missing a lot of the original supporting actors that made the show so funny.

My recommendations:

Season 1 - Episode 1 "Old Habits/ New Beginnings" (just to get you familiarized with the back story), Episode 2 "A Burden's Burden", Episode 4 "Who Wants Cake?", Episode 7 "Let Freedom Ring"

Season 2 (my favorite season, its hard to choose favorites on this! - Episode 1 "The Virgin Jerry", Episode 2 "Behind Blank Eyes", Episode 5 "The Blank Page" (BEST EPISODE, in my opinion), Episode 7 "To Love, Honor, and Pretend"

Season 3 - Episode 1 "Jerri's Burning Issue", Episode 3 "Trail of Tears", Episode 7 "Ask Jerri", and the final episode, Episode 10 "The Last Temptation of Blank"

But there's something funny in all the episodes. Hope you enjoy!

I've never seen the movie, but used to watch the show. I don't remember if nothing else was on, or if I made a point of watching, but it featured a middle aged woman with buck teeth who was often desperate to fit in. The most memorable episode I recall involved her hanging a bell from between her legs and swinging it to impress a guy. I can still picture the flabby thighs they showed. It was so funny I cried (yet this might have been because the thighs looked like mine.)

The TV show is hilarious! I haven't seen the movie though, sorry. I would watch some episodes first so you can get some background and a feel for the comedy. It's a little different, but in a great way.

The show is really stupid but one of the funniest I have ever seen. It's worth watching for a cheap laugh. Haven't Seen the movie yet but it's on my list.
