leap year! why in the world do we have it? what is the point?

becaause it doesn't take 365 days exactly for the earth to do a complete rotation. It takes 365 1/4 days. so every four years there is another day added on to our year.

because one day is not fully 24 hours
each day is 23 hours and like 57 minutes.
all the extra minutes make up a day over 4 years and that creates the leap year

I think it's to do with the orbiting of the sun around the earth. The sun is the earth's Timetable. That's why I don't feel we should have Daylight Savings. Why does man feel they have the power to change what God says is good from the beginning. God did not say to man "make Daylight Savings." He has a reason why the sun should rise at a certain time and why it should set at that time. Agreed?

Just some extra time that has to be made up somehow. Anyway girls can feel free to chase guys that year(or anytime they want to)Ha ha
