where on a 98 bravada is the PCM and ECM located under the hood, i need to reset them.?

They're not under the hood. They're behind the dash.

Simply disconnect the negative battery cable for a couple minutes to reset the computer.

You can reset all computer settings by disconnecting the battery cable for a few minutes. If that does not work then you need to take to a garage where they have the scanner that will do this job. i.e. their computer will talk to you vehicle computer. AWD drive may not engage for many reasons, switch solenoid etc.
