I shave. I want to get into waxing though, since I`m not the typical girl who shaves her legs like everyweek .. I actually let my leg hair grow out a little bit. I know, sounds kind of nasty but right now is winter soo I`m just wearing jeans and sweats all day long. Plus I actually heard waxing is okk, I never heard it was badd or nothing for your legs. Because it makes your leg hair grow back slower but smoother.

Ahaha. hope to been of help!

Hey, men wax too...

Waxing is without a doubt the best form of hair removal outside of having them permanently removed by laser.

Good results from waxing are very much dependent on the quality of the wax being used and the technique employed.

Sugaring products only stick to the hair and not your skin so are generally less painful to use. However, the results are much longer lasting - anywhere from 4-6 weeks. This is of course due to the fact that hair is being removed from the root and not just under the surface of the skin as is with shaving.

Another benefit of waxing is that with long term use, the hair follicle can eventually give up and stop growing.

I would recommend that you invest in a good sugaring product like Moom. After using it for a while you won't go back to shaving!

Personally, I only shave my legs when I know someone is going to see them or I start feeling like a wild animal. It is actually a common myth that shaving makes your hair grow back thicker, but this is untrue. The hair follical does not change shape when you shave over it, it always remains the same size. And the only reason that it grows back darker is because the leg hair that was unshaved had been lightened because it was exposed to sun. If you let your hairs grow back and expose the hair to sunshine, like when you were a child, they will begin to look like they did preshaving. As far as shaving goes, it is the hardest on your skin. It can cause ingrown hairs and makes your skin dry out. Make sure you change razors often and moisturize after shaving.

waxing is best for you, although it is more painful than I'm willing to tolerate. You also have to let the hairs grow out a little before you wax it because the wax paper needs something to hold onto to pull out.

My roommate tried veet, but didn't think it worked very well. Her hair is a little more coarse than average, so it may work better for people with fine hair. I've used nair, and despite a nasty smell, it worked well at first. It still left a few patches, but overall the hair was gone. Then it gave me a rash, so I stopped using it.

Wow, I'm a little disturbed at how much I know about shaving... =/

That's not true at all.. Waxing is the best option because it is the longer lasting than shaving or veet creams. But that said, one might not be too comfortable waxing without going to the parlour or someone else doing it for them. And shaving or veet are good options as well.. for an urgent call or something..!!

to be honest i don't shave wax or use creams i don't mind going around with hairy legs

there is nouthing wrong with waxing legs yes it can be a little painful if your using hot wax but the legs stay hair free for longer shaving just cuts the the hair leaving it blunt and making it appear thicker, creams are messy and often don't smell all that pleasnt though lasts longer than shaving

I shave every other day, but waxing is an effective way. I prefer shaving because it doesn't hurt but I have tried waxing before and I got great results! Veet creams and etc. are not good for sensitive skin like mine. It makes my skin break out so I don't use it but if you don't have sensitive skin then use it because my friends got good results.

i shave every other day in the summer, or when it annoys me. In the winter maybe twice a week, unless I might have some other activities happening.

It is a myth that your hair grows back thicker than before. It is still the same hair follicule as before. What you are doing is taking this nice pointy hair and chopping it off bluntly. So that when it grows again, it has the appearance of being thicker. If all hair grew back thicker, I would think most men would start shaving their heads now to ensure they would have tons of hair before they start losing it. see article attached from dermatology website.

I personally do not like removal creams as they are very harsh on my sensitive skin and usually cause me to burn.

waxing hurts like crazy.

I will continue shaving thank you.

Hi this is what i do once a week.I put conditioner on my legs wait for few minutes then shave as normal after i rinse with warm water then cold to close the pores.you will notice a difference in the hair it will be finer next time you shave and there is no red bumps.Try this for a month and believe me you will have less hair aswell.
give it a go you have nothing to lose and its cheaper than veet or waxing.
good luck.

I personally epilate, it's a bit like waxing as it pulls the hair out from the root, it looks like a normal lady-shave, and you do it at home in your own time, I started off doing it twice a week about a year ago now i only do it once a month if that and the hair is allot finer and blond again.
