I did one of those online IQ tests. My score is 118. I'm under fifteen. Is that a good score considering the test was for grown-ups?????

If your IQ is 118 and you are 14 years old, then you have a mental age of 16.52, which means you have learning capabilities of an over-16-year-old person. And that score is good, since it is higher than average IQ score (100).
IQ = mental age x100 / chronological age
I hope that helps. If your IQ is over 125, then you are a "gifted" person. Over 140, and you are a "genius". But don't rely on those scores much, as they vary through tests and age( or experience). I'm 15, and the first time I did an IQ test I made a 121, and the second time ( on a different test) I made a 130.

As above have stated ideal tests of IQ are all standardised at one hundred because the mean (no longer the referred to as there's a huge huge difference). also astounding is that the age at which the guy takes the attempt does no longer count number because the score will be compared to an equivalent score for a collection of in addition elderly attempt-takers. that is what the call ability: intelligence quotient is the ratio derived at the same time as placed next to the set of human beings that were used to provide the normative (or evaluation) crew. Any score as a lot as 130 might want to be considered as "widely used" because it does no longer take the guy outdoors the point the position their score might want to be significantly diverse to the mean. that's ninety 5% self belief that the guy's score is diverse via a real huge difference. incorrect above although is that a persons' IQ continues to be an same over their lifetime. IQ ratings variety extensively for the time of lifespan and mirror how properly the guy does on the attempt no longer some intrinsic aspect of intelligence. yet that communicate is for yet yet again.

IQ tests aren't really categorized by age, but that's a good score for anybody. Younger people tend to score better on IQ tests anyway, so if you still have a 118 in about 30 years, then it's an excellent score.

100 is average IQ by definition, so if your IQ is over 100, you're more 'intelligent' than 50% of people. However, online IQ tests may or may not be accurate..

Also, the test SHOULD have asked you your age because IQ tests factor your age into your IQ so that no matter what a person's age is, their IQ is comparable... basically, the test should have already adjusted for your age.

IQ tests measure how well you are able to take an IQ test. It does not measure how street-smart you are. It does not measure how happy or how fulfilling your life will be.
