Do I have to keep a motorcycle I just bought if they issued a safety recall on one of the parts. The part can be replaced, however I am still concerned that something else may be wrong with it.

the manufacturer will advise u of what the problem is along with the dealer that sold u the bike. the dealer will then schedule a service appointment to make the repair that is on the manufacturer's tab.
the shop will thoroughly inspect the bike for any other problems before releasing the bike.
edit: here's a link to harleychatgroup. 'kagan' works as a parts manager at steel city harley, and if there's a recall going around with any bike, he posts it.

Can you post the make and model and what the recall entails? I wouldn't say a bike should be sold just because of a recall, the manufacturer is just doing what they need to do to keep you safe (and not get fined or sued!)

Yes you still have to keep it. One recall doesnt mean its a lemon or unsafe.

If you dont want it anymore, trade it in or sell it on your own.
