First of all it's not all people because I know that not all gays have AIDS. Some people out there need someone to blame when it comes to anything. Unfortunately gays were picked to be the ones who get blamed for AIDS.

because when they were in school and / or college nobody talked about sex or even had sex education to begin with
and now the end result is they are very much uninformed and it could hurt the follow person who does have AIDS.

It is just as wrong to think that all people assume that as it is wrong to think all gays have AIDS.
The reality is that there are folks that have no desire to learn and want to look down on others. Those folks will find whatever justification they can use to defend that limited attitude.

I don't think they are that many idiots in the world or at least I hope not. My step sisters mother died from AIDS & she was straight, however she did use needles to inject herself with heroine.

Because homophobes are lazy, mean spirited, bigoted, hateful and will find any excuse to harass gays/lesbians.
The truth is that over 80% of all NEW HIV/AIDS infections are among the HETEROSEXUAL populations world wide.

because they think if they can label us as disease-carriers that they have a justification to segregate themselves from us. you need to dehumanize people to hate them, like how countries have to play up culutral stereotypes of the enemy forces in a war to make them alien and feel okay about killing them.
