It is a cold day here in Northren CA. It is only suppose to reach 64 degrees today ( It is now only 53 degress and sunny at 11:18 AM PST) And I plan to take my two boys out to the park at around 12:30 -1:00 PM. It will be my 2 week old's first time to the park and not sure what he should wear. He will have a hat on, but most of his clothes don't fit because he is so small. ( 6 lbs. 6 oz. & 18 " long - Born at 36 weeks) What should he wear??? Any ideas?? He will be out in the sun.

He's sooo cute. And your lucky, I'd kill for a day like that. It's been about 15 degrees here. Well, just put him on a regular outfit,if it's big that ok, and wrap him up in a blanket. You might want to take and x-tra one too. Oh and the hat. At least you can take something off if you feel it's too warm. My doc told me to take them out if it's warm and you wrap them up. She said it's good to get out of the house when you have a newborn. Have fun!

Sorry but I have to laugh. I live in the midwest and it is 23 degrees here with a wind chill factor. People here have their babies out and about all the time. Just use common sense. Tee shirt under sleeper, hat and lots of blankets. It really isnt that cold you should live here.

Keep him in his infant carrier with blanket draped on top. I'm so jealous of your weather, it's only 30 here in Northern Idaho, though I did take advantage of 51 degrees the other day to get out to the park for about an hour.

Obviously, you are already back from the park! Mine was born at 36 weeks also, and my ped told me not to take him outside until at least 4-6 weeks. I have a 3-year old as well too, so I know that is hard.

Anyway, I LOVED my mei-tei carrier for the baby. He still goes everywhere in it, and it does not hurt my back at all. We'd walk the neighborhood in it for hours, so if you don't have one..I highly recommend getting one. Best thing ever.

Take care!

At 13, you may want to not be using a tremendous variety of makeup. attempt to persuade your mom to allow you to positioned on somewhat, see you later as you keep it organic. tell her about sparkling mascara. It doesn't each little thing primary mascara does, without the colour so this isn't any longer substantive. also, attempt to allow her help you positioned on particular colorings of lip gloss. Even convey her with you once you purchase it and allow her help pick the colorings that way you already know this is not too darkish and think ofyou've got were given your mom's approval. a contented determine is continuously key lol

Do you have any body suits with the feet part inclosed? Then take a blanket and keep him in the stroller. My Triplets 4 months are wearing that today, and my twins are wearing jeans and shirts they are 2 years. Good Luck.
Have fun in the Park my husband and i went yesterday!

I'm not sure I would take him outside. He was born four weeks early and he doesn't need to take in any cold air into his lungs. This time of the year you have to worry about too many illnesses. RSV is very common in newborns and it's not worth taking the risk. He should stay inside. You will have plenty of warmer days in the Spring. You will get a warmer day soon anyway. We are in MI and it's in the teens. It's cold here!

a rule of thumb is to dress baby the same as you dress yourself. no need to bundle him up in a snow suit if you are wearing pants and a light jacket. weather in the 50s isn't "cold". put him in a jacket with a longsleeve/long leg jumpsuit/"onesie" underneath, with a hat. bring a blanket just in case it's windy and you can drape it over his carriage or carrier. if you are holding him in a sling on your body he will be warm enough with your body heat- that's probably the best way to make sure he is warm.

i would just keep a sleeper and onesie on him with a hat, and maybe take a light blanket with you. just make sure you don't overdue and keep him too warm. generally you should dress your baby as you would dress. if you are cold, the baby is probaly cold, if you are warm the baby is probaly warm.
congratulations on the baby, so cute!

i too am jealous of your weather it is only 44 here in ga at 3 p.m. and it is very windy.
