What advantages have tights over stockings and vice versa ?

as far as i can tell,

stockings are mostly for men- so good for pulling the fellas

also good for controlling thrush

tights more comfortable and more flexible and warm

By tights, do you mean pantihose - or the upcoming trend towards the tight-legged pant for women (I hear they are coming in for men too, now)?
I haven't worn those expensive pantihose, or stockings in years. You only have to look at 'em and you get a snag that runs or goes into a hole. The tights are sturdier, and can be quite the fashion accessory these days, coming in all kinds of shades and designs. I can wear a short skirt, or even a longish skirt over them, so just the last two or three inches of the tights peeks out under the skirt bottom.They look great with boots if you like boots, or with more of a strappy shoe, pump, or even a very casual shoe.
I've always been much more into the comfort thing than "high fashion", but, for years it has made me laugh when, maybe two or three years after I have been wearing a particular combination or type of clothing, suddenly it IS "high fashion" and everybody is rushing out buying stuff I' ve been wearing for ages. lol. In winter, I don't want to necessarily be "this-season fashionable" Forget that. I want my head, my neck area, and my legs warm, warm, warm. And if I am so UNfashionable I look like I just arrived from Mars, what the heck! Another couple years it's a virtual certainty everybody on the planet (this planet) will be wearing the same thing I'm wearing now.

You can have s*x while wearing stockings. If you try that with tights it'll make your toes curl!


Stockings feel sexier (because HE thinks they are) but I don't find them practical or comfortable.The last time I wore them, to a restaurant, when I stood up the tops were round my knees.

Tights, (pantyhose in the US ) are just plain nasty. I wear stockings and they are way more sexy and comfortable. Of course I wear them with a garter belt, not the stay up kind, because I like wearing them very high and tight, and like them to stay that way. You don't have to remove them to pee, or have sex for that matter, and they just are a lot more sheer an classy.

Well, stockings, I love 'em (I am 60 !) unfortunately they do
do make tanners any more, (for when you lost a suspender!)
but, they are most sexy, or were... not to mention healthy !!
with tights , you are enclosed in nylon, (not the best for
harboring sweat in intermate parts !) BUT, with todays
tanning saloons, why not go with that and use the stockings
for those special moments !!! (YES. I remember !!)

stockings are thinner and tear easy and you wear them more for formal wear.
Tights are heavier, more casual, they still snag
