I had this same problem and solved it by switching to sugar free cookies and ice-cream, and candies. This satisfied my sweet tooth. I also switched from white breads and pastas to whole grains. I started going for walks several times a week and I lost 35 pounds doing this. I look and feel a whole lot better! Good luck to you!

I'm in a similar position to you - I have cut out alcohol, crisps (chips), Chips (french fries), chocolates, biscuits and sweets...When I go shopping I don't buy them, so they're not in the house when I feel hungry, and when I am hungry I will have dried fruit, normal fruit - oranges are good at the moment ( I cut into eighths), yogurts (good for sweet cravings) and rice/corn cakes. Rice and corncakes although not the most appetising, are good bulking foods which fill you up with not many calories. Also I try to make sure I have lunch with me so I'm not tempted to eat loads of rubbish at lunchtime...Lastly - exercise is the main thing that will shift the weight and make you feel better - running 3 times a week for 30 mins is a good place to start. you can walk for 50 paces and run for 50 paces if you are not used to running and build up from there - just go slowly. Aim for 1-2 pounds weightloss per week. - Good Luck!

Would you consider doing a detox to lose weight?
I lost 15kg within 2 mths. You can see my before after photo here:

All you need to do is three things.
Number one, follow the detox programme which requires you to change your diet a little bit. Eg, take more vege and less meat and seafoods.
Number two, use 1 minute a day to take some natural health foods consumable even by babies and pregnant women that will enhance the speed and the effect of the detox.
Number three, drink lots of water to flush the toxins out and help your body start to accept water.
And that's it.
The rest is up to you.
So what do you think? ;)

Isn't that like 130-something pounds? Doesn't sound overweight to me unless you are really short. Anyway...
Try adding in more high-fiber foods to your diet. Eat more fruits and veggies. Get out and walk more. Drink water. Get all the junk food out of the house. Make a shopping list and stick to it. Pack a lunch and snacks for work so you can stay away from the vending machine and fast foods. Join an online support group.

For a 34- year old woman weighing 59 Kg's that's not bad at all!!! But, the junk and sweets aren't good either... So, exercise (if you don't want to walk or run, try jump rope or skipping rope, it's excellent!) and eat healthier by eating snacks such as nuts, fruit bars etc. Good luck!!

Exercise!
Try lots of different foods, maybe you'll find you like them more than junk and sweets. Fruit is sooooo good. I try to eat healthy, but I just can't cut out some things like icecream, so I just try to eat low fat/sugar free icecream (tastes just as good to me!) and only 1/2 a cup (thats only 120 cal). There is also low fat/sugar free instant pudding you make with skim milk, which is another healthy way to treat your sweet tooth.
Also, if you shop for groceries just after you eat (so you won't want everything!) and try to buy reasonable food, then you won't have any junk in your home TO eat!
