I would sprinkle ample amounts of TOLERANCE all over the world. I would put it in the food, mix it in the water, install it in the churches, stuff it into the orfices of government, make it the largest lesson to be taught in schools, and test on it continually. I would make it the one universal word.

The only thing I would change would be the punishment for anyone that hurt children (physical and sexual abuse). They should just spend the rest of their miserable lifes in jail or if it was a repeat offender...castrate them or put them down to sleep like the animals they are. For emotional abuse of a child, I would have the person or parent sent to jail for a year or two.

We need to pressure our local governments for strict rules when it comes to child abuse. Child Proctective Services were able to be more strict then some of those children might still be alive.

Texas couple confesses to killing three children

The woman's daughters, ages 3 and 2 months, were found stuffed into a garbage bag; the couple's 1-year-old son was found on a bed.

This is most horrible things that I heard of in my life.

A world without borders where there would be a global
central government composed of leading experts on
economy, health, finance, science, etc. All weapons
would be banned, all famine unheard of, no pollution
and all natural resources shared. Forests would all
be restored and all animal life protected. Literacy would
be the norm and people would pool their money to build
environments as a community. Food would all be organic
and affordable, and solar energy would run everything.

I would like to change the way people interact with one another...

I would like to assume; first of all, that the one person standing in front of me feels the same. Probably won't, tho.

We need a certain amount of conflict in life to express opinions, but the coldness of people out to do harm to those innocent persons is what I would like to conquer and change.

Come on people, we all live in the same universe -- we all eat, poo and vomit. What makes us different is good for us.......but all in all we are all just HUMAN!

I'd beef up the ozone layer, so the planet would get healthier. Maybe then, countries would stop fighting over "territory", starvation and dehydration would no longer be a problem, weather would stabilize, people would be happier and healthier and not so angry all the time.

The way people treat animals. Or the greenhouse effect. I'm not sure. If I really had the power, I would have to ponder on this.

Hmmmm....I think I'd disable all technology. It would surely cause chaos, but in the short and long term, it would certainly solve MANY of the world problems. Wars would become more localized and less bloody. Overcrowding would be a thing of the past as life spans would shorten. Pollution? Thing of the past. It would be more peaceful. People would be focused on day to day survival more than anything else. Growing wholesome foods that are organic in nature and local in origin and in general worrying about themselves and their own rather than trying to stick their noses into everyone else's business. It would once more be a simpler time.

Oh, I see we're supposed to say something "lofty" and "fluffy" rather than practical. Okay. World Peace!

Hate. Not the "I hate my boss" kind of hate, but the "must eliminate the infidels" kind of hate that destroys people, families, and societies.

I think the reason why is pretty self-evident.

And I LOVE Batty's answer:)
