Limewire, bearshare, and all the other gnutella based protocols, are kind of passee now...
Bittorrent is the way to go. I recommend getting Azureus (google for it, it's very easy to find).
Azureus is written in Java and runs on Windows, Linux, Mac, and other platforms. It works like a train.
The things that's a little different is that you need to go to a torrent search website to find and download what's called a 'torrent' file. This file is a description of where all the bits and pieces can be found of other people's computers. Don't worry about how it works. You download the torrent file from the website (try btjunkie.org for instance), and then load the torrent file into Azureus. And watch it download like you've seen anything download before. Also way way tons more content available this way. Larger HDTV content too!

At the very bottom of your limewire page, there's a "Blue" highlighted sentence that says: Purchase Limewire Pro, get Limewire Pro..... Just click that, but you'll have to pay for it.... Good luck! smile!
