I'm a make up artist and was wondering if anyone knew of any good websites where I can put my portfolio for people to see? i can find one for models and photographers but not make up artists

One Model Place is ok but the photos never quite show right up on their website

I would do One Model Place. You may get a lot of people wanting to work TSP with you, and it's a good idea to do that as often as you can. You meet a lot of new people that way and can climb the career ladder with them. It's all about the networking! I did a TSP with a young model that was just getting started once and now was picked up by a top agency in New York....and she knows me, so giving away my services was worth it!
Also invest in an attractive website for yourself. Be sure to have it listed on search engines. I've gotten many jobs from photographers that googled for a makeup artist.
If you do any bridal work I would put an ad on the Knot. That's were I get 100% of my bridal business.

i have done a lot of networking on myspace. i put my portfolio up (up to 300 photos) and you can find other people in the industry, or related industries in your area. i have gotten quite a bit of work and credits from it.
