I am very fertile,by the time I was 21, I already had 5 kids.I made the decision to tie my tubes because birth control doesn't even work(I got pregnant on the depo). Anyway,I think I want them reversed because my kids are older and I want another baby.I need any information on places I can contact or perhaps will they just come loose after awhile.(By the way,I had an ectopic pregnancy since my tubes have been tied). Any information, please.

You should talk to your doctor or gynecologist and see if you can get a referral to a fertility specialist. There are cases where there has been success in reversing the process of tubal ligation. but every case is different. You'd need testing to be sure if you would be a good candidate for the procedure. This is where the specialist can help.

You likely have two options: In-Vitro Fertilization or Reverse Tubal Ligation. In-Vitro is very very expensive. Reverse Tubal Ligation is cheaper and still a good 1st option. So do your reseach on that.

Tubal ligation reversal can be done as an outpatient procedure through a small incision just above your pubic hair line. Some doctors prefer to hospitalize patients but it usually is not necessary. Cost can be from about $5,500 dollars to $25,000 dollars.

There are outpatient facilities that specialize in tubal ligation reversal and some are far less expensive than others. You probably are better off with someone who does tubal ligation reversals day in and day out than someone who does a couple a year. The procedure is simple but sometimes there are cases where someone with more experience can do a better job.

it is very riskful to untie the tubes, since doctors usually don't want to do so. First of all, they may not fully untie them. According to what I know, in some operations the tubes cannot be fully reversed. Secondly, even if your tubes are untied you may not get pregnant as easily as you got before. I hope I could help, that's all I know.
