I work full time- thursday in one place and the other four days in another place. I've been offered an interview for the thursday but the company I work for is less than keen on me having time off. But if I rearrange the interview the other company could feel the same way. Do either company have obligations to allow me the time off as theoretically I'm part time at both jobs. How can I force them to give me time off, or should I rearrange and phone in sick to the other job?

One is a temp job in a school therefore no holidays possible, the other is a shop job- both managers are aware that there jobs are not ones I wish to remain in for any longer than necessary amd that I am actively looking for work.
