If you purely identify yourself as conservative or liberal, you probably jump on the partisan bandwagon a lot. Agreeing with others only because they label themselves conservative and liberal. The terms used to mean one who wants to keep things the same or one who wants change, respectively. Now, they're just divisions.

The difference all comes down to personal responsibility. Conservatives believe in taking responsibility and facing the consequences of your actions. Liberals believe that everything is someone else's fault.

To determine the liberal view on any issue all you need to do is ask how would I avoid personal responsibility on this issue. Can't deal with the consequences of getting pregnant? Liberals think abortion's the way to go. Can't save for your own retirement? The government is there to take care of you. It's a simple formula that works every time.

Here is an analogy someone gave me.

They sent a Liberal, a Conservative, and a Moderate to the store to buy crayons to color the world as they see it. They all had the same amount of money and were to use the crayons on white paper.

The first back was the Conservative who bought one crayon. It was black as he sees the world in black and white, my way or the highway and he bragged about having more money for other things. The next back was the Moderate who bought 24 crayons that had enough colors to cover every idea of worth and everyone. If necessary we could mix colors and while he spent money he had some left for other things. The last to return was the Liberal gone so long they nearly sent a search party. Breathless he returned with hundreds of crayons as he sees the world as many colored. He believes every body is right, everybody is wrong, nobody is right, nobody is wrong and laments that he did not have enough to spend on more crayons.

Personally I believe Conservatives do not care about ordinary people. They favor the wealthy. They claim to adhere more to the words of the Constitution. Strict translation of the document. Fiscally they do not want to spend money except on defence. They believe in borrow and spend. (Buy now pay later)

Liberals, in my humble opinion, care, often too much, about ordinary people. They favor the poor and working people over the wealthy. They claim to interpret the Constitution in terms of what is meant rather than what is said. (The constitution was written over 200 years ago). They tend to be more for domestic programs and want pay as you go. (What Conservatives call tax and spend).

Conservatives are flaming assholes who want to tell everyone how to live because they think they know everything.

Liberals are wishy washy hippie wannabes who think peace and understanding will solve it all. They also tend to tolerate everything in an attempt to offend no one.
