I'm really both. I plan ahead so I can be spontaneous at any time. Every loose end is double knotted at all times just in case I decide to cross the pond for a few weeks. Once I left work on Friday, went to Ireland and came home the next Tuesday. No one even knew I was gone Monday.

I am a planner. Spontaneity makes me nervous.

Spontaneous - except when I am working with a group. For groups you must plan, to keep the dates and times from getting confused. For just a few people you can really enjoy making plans at the last minute.

I am a planner, but I can be spontaneous, and that sometimes is much more fun.

I definitely am both. However, I am usually planning to be spontaneous! As in: I have $50 to spend ...so, should I go out to dinner or buy those new shoes??

Both.
Can plan a destination but spontaneous enough to go off the beaten path once I'm there.

It really depends on what the task is. If it's paying bills or anything money related, I plan. If it's sex, partying, or anything crazy, I'm spontaneous. Weird 'eh?
