Original tree huggers were: villagers from India that were opposed to commercial logging. They were mostly women that were influenced by Gandhi. (Chipko Action).

These are heroic people that care about the environment. I would be proud to be considered one.

No. But I care about the enviorment. Cuz I mean, without the trees, there'd be no oxygen, without oxygen, you'd die. So, i guess i'm 47% tree hugger. Got a problem with it? Take it up with somebody else.

i am a born tree hugger. seriously, what would we do without the environment? it makes oxygen, provides beauty, why wouldn't you want to protect it?

Not at all. In fact when I go for a walk in the woods I get annoyed when trees get in my way. If I had a saw I'd saw then down and make a straight path.

Not really; I understand the importance of trees giving out oxygen, providing shade, and are beautiful in the fall. but they have a downside, too. The roots are tenacious, wrecking all infrastructure, and the leaves are not fun to deal with.

No. How many trees do we really need just to look at when we are in greater need of businesses and residences?

We had better all start hugging the trees, before the whole earth is one giant concrete parking lot!

I've been known to hug the occasional tree, but I'd rather hug my husband and children!
