Egypt Tour packages?

I am hoping to go to egypt in the summer, and was wondering if anyone could recommend any companies that do good tour packages.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND EGYPT. I have been there twice. The first time was about 15 years ago and I really enjoyed the experience. The second time was about 12 months ago with my teenage son and we had a horrible, horrible time. Egypt has changed a lot and the focus is on money, money and how to extort it from you.

Everywhere you go and every circumstance you find yourself in people will make demands for money from you. People were even bullying my son into buying aftershave and t shirts and the like despite the fact that I told them to leave him alone. They will not take no for an answer.

We stayed in three five star hotels in Cairo and Aswan and the same thing happened which shocked me. There was constant pressure to go on private guided tours or take boat trips down the Nile and horse rides around the Pyramids.

I fell for a few of these things. At one of these hotels they convinced me to take a tour around Cairo in a Mercedes which turned out to be a broken down car with the seatbelts and the windows not working. Instead of taking us on a tour of Cario this guy drove us to his friends businesses to try and make us buy things.

When we got to Aswan I was pressurised into going to visit a Nubian village by the hotel manager who would not leave us alone. When we go to the village this guy wanted money to repair his boat. The whole thing was a nightmare and nearly everyone I met along the way including a Canadian couple had a miserable time and could not wait to leave. Egyptians also know how ask for money and tips in like 50 languages so my son and I ended up making up a language just so they would leave us alone. If they could not understand us they could not ask for anything.

Further examples were when I went to withdraw money from a cashpoint machine in Aswan. There was a guard sitting by the machine who would not let me take out money until I tipped him and a guy thrust an orchid flower into my son's hand and then demanded a tip...
All I can say is GO AT YOUR PERIL.....
