Is it just me, or is the supposedly "real" news quirkier, stranger, and often funnier than Comics can compete with, while it is in the Comic routines that we get the the greatest truth?

Yes, but be careful in what you think is real news. Sometimes the reports are not really the truth. The news "reporters" are becoming just semi-talented actors.
