Remove the 13 year old from the home immediately and place him/her in a live-in psychiatric facility. Your insurance should cover it. This child is dangerous.

All of you need to see a counsellor. Finding a butcher knife is a sign of doing someone harm. I would leave for your and your daughter safety until it is clear up. Do it asap!

get the 13 year old to a phycytrist and find out why she is being violent she may have a bipolar or that something that causes violence even killing people
