Why can't they make a compound of chewing gum and tarmac to put on the roads .reason is, think how long it takes for the chewing gum to wear away on the pavements and roads.they would save a fortune on re-surfacing.

they could encourage people to throw their gum into the potholes! would sort the problems with the roads out quicker than the council do it! and it would last longer than the job they do anyway!!!

Chewing gum gets too soft in the sun and would start to peel up onto peoples tires. Keep thinking though.
One thing they have started doing is shredding tires and mixing it in with the rar and it make the roads quieter and last longer

Interesting thought, but not practical unfortunately. Compare cost of chewing gum with asphalt.

Second problem would have to do with surface tension, VW's and KIA's would get stuck. lol.

Actually they already have one, it is called Bitumen. That is mixed with gravel and hey presto you have Tarmac. Like your train of thought though!
