yes it would be a good thing, because no confusion ( like some europe countrys switching to the euro) and it would be a bad thing because everyone would fight over which language to speak... but maybe having one language as second language for everyone

The main thing for any society to be successful is for everyone in it to be of one mind on all the important issues. The spoken language they use to communicate with is less importatn. However, ideally, when the only ones left on earth are those who have volunteered to develop God's ideal viewpoint about everthing, I suspect he might reinstate the language that he first bestowed upon our first human parents: Hebrew. It has been lost for a long time, but I suspect that even that may eventually be resurrected. Language schollars have a Very High regard for it, even though their undertanding of it is extremely limited. I wonder if --when everyone was scattered by God by changing their languages-- he didn't hide the Original Hebrew language from everyone.

it would be a great thing, language is one of the most unifying forces in relationships. Some of the more ancient languages were better at expression than others such as latin or hebrew , where the word only could have one meaning. English could be good if the spellings were truly phonetic and slangs were'nt added every year to the dictionary.

Actually many different languages have words that are derived from original Latin. So I think Latin would be the best world language, even if it is currently antiquated.
