If someone gains access to your ATM card and your password,
how long are the recordings from the video cameras at the ATM
kept? I guess what I'm needing to know, is how far back can they
go to see if someone other than yourself accessed your account and verify whether a transaction was actually made?

By law banks are required (if I am not mistaken) to deal with issues of fraudulent activity in customers account between 30 to 60 days. Which means you have to report and file a claim within 60 days (most banks) of the activity to have a chance to get your money back. I would read the disclosures of the bank's policies. I hope everything works out for you. As far as the ATM is concerned they will investigate and let you know.

If someone has accessed your account, report it to the police and the bank
report the transaction and date, and together they will investigate it.
Make sure the transaction isn't something you did but forgot about...or there could be problems
