Also, do you think that cloning animals would eventually lead to human cloning.

Human cloning can't be done until scientist get the formula for telomers on the ends of DNA right! For animals, they already have part of the formula right, so they're already using and testing it out. As to the real question you asked: Why the hell would you want another YOU running around to cause chaos and mayhem? As long as doctors and hospitals were to use the technology for cloning to grow new skin, muscles, bones, arteries, organs etc. for people, then that would be okay. Just not cloning a whole human being, that would be weird.

I don't have a problem with cloning, in and of itself, whether it involves animals or humans. But we need to do a helluva lot more testing before we ever attempt replicating a human being. From what I've read, the animal cloning isn't going well. You clone a 7 year old sheep, you get a newborn sheep with all the symptoms of a 7 year old. That's like a newborn baby with the physionomy of a 49 year old man! Like I said, we've got a long way to go.

Why would anyone want to clone animals or people. They seem to have no problem having babies the oldfashioned way.
