This lovely peal goldfish is very very cute and very very timid withtender temperament. She never chases other fish and is always swimming happily and peacefully. But she was bitten by another aggressive fish who is very very mean all the time. And I seperated the aggressive one immediately after finding the attack. But today I find the wound has worsened so fast and there's blood everywhere around the poor little one's body. What shall I do? I'm worrying to death....Somebody please help me........

It's a rather radical solution, but you can actually try to close the wound. If there is enough skin around the bite, you can remove the fish from the tank with a wet, soft towel and carefully dry around the wounded area. Then holding the wound closed with your fingers glue is closed with super glue. This method is used by public aquariums after surgery to close cuts on fish fairly often and will hold if the skin is alive. It's not all that easy and isn't a guaranteed fix, but for a special fish it can be worth a try.

There isn't a whole lot you can do with fish. If you can get it out of the water you might be able to put some type of antibiotic cream like Neosporin on it that shouldn't hurt it. But the trama of catching it, holding it still to put the cream on would probably be worse than what the cream would help. most of the cream would wash off anyway because of the fishes scales and the water, but some might get into the wound and stay there. Other than that, if is just a waiting game to see if it will live or if you are going to be having a funeral around the toliet. Be aware that if you have other fish that are even the least bit aggressive still in the tank with it, they will attack it because it is weak and hurt. So you might want to take them out too. I wouldn't move her because that would just be another stressor for her and she wouldn't need that with the state she is in.

Call a vet or your local pet store. I hate to break it to you, but they probably won't be that sympathetic to a goldfish. Hopefully they can do something. My advice would be to take your injured goldfish and put her into a bowl on her own and let her try to heal. Being around other fish will probably make the wound worse: survival of the fittest. The other fish might take advantage of your injured fish.

Good luck!

who is this other fish that attacked your goldfish? why would you have something so aggressive in the tank?
I have had some really dreadful injuries to heal in my goldfish,
place her in another tank with real clean water, add aquarium salt
1 tblesp per 5 gal and an antibiotic
we had a cat that "fished" and left the fish to die in the yard, the chickens found it and carried it around, all the while pecking it = when I found the fish it was dry and had several gaping wounds
but we got her to survive
Good Luck

Good luck with your fish. I hope it survives. Call the vet's office.

In the meantime please read up on the various types of fish tanks. Aggressive types of fish should not be paired with more peaceful or "community" type fish. If you like a wide variety of fish you might want to consider having more than one tank. There are just certain breeds that cannot co-exist.

Chest and lower back hair is a few thing I prefer to no longer be there besides the shown fact that it is not a great deal. i might incredibly the lads no longer could flow to such extremes to make themselves hairless. Hair is organic on the two men and girls. How the hell can they shave their backs anyhow? attitude a mirror completely?

The best thing is to gether into a separate hospital tank and give her salt treatments as stated in the link. This is her best bet for you to clean her wounds and survive.

Goldfish aren't very good healers. I've never managed to bring one back after an attack. If its getting progressively worse, then its time to get out the clove oil & vodka and euthanize him out of his misery.

Emulsify 10 drops of clove oil (which you can buy at your local GNC for $5) in tank water inside a small gatorade bottle by shaking until its milky white.

Plop the fish in the solution (he may try to jump out in the first 5 seconds if the solution is too stiff with clove oil). After 15 seconds to a minute he will be anestitized and may sink to the bottom.

Pour vodka or any other 80 proof+ liquor in the solution and let him sit for 10 minutes. The vodka will shut off his cardiovascular system while he sleeps. He will be dead with the least ammount of suffering.

He may look dead after just a minute, but many fish need a full 10 minutes in the solution to be fully killed.

you can try isolating your goldfish and using melafix in the water. it is kind of like antibacterial wash for your fish. if it is bad you might have to go with an antibiotic to get it to heal if it will heal. good luck.
