The EPA told them that the dust from the towers wouldn't harm them when in fact levels of toxic chemicals were higher than scientists had ever seen in regard to the clean up effort!
Now all this time later the government is cutting funding to the men and women who have become ill from the poison!
Is this American?
Or even ethical?

My sis and I were just discussing this very thing yesterday after seeing the news report of a firefighter from 9/11 that just died waiting on a lung transplant.
Very unamerican that these 'heroes' get little support versus the widows who received $1m each and some got the husbands of their socalled friends.
*thumbsdown*

Yes, doctors have confirmed a link between working at the WTC site and chronic respiratory problems. I read an article about a woman who died from mesothelioma she developed from breathing in the toxic dust. I think they said up to 70% of workers will have lifelong problems because of it.

No, in my mind, it's not ethical to cut off funding.

Don't forget about the amounts of radiation they took in as a result of mini-nukes being used at the base of each tower.

It is very unfortunate indeed, that these heroes are being left to fend for themselves in their time of need. But this is the same mentality that wants to continue to deny universal health care to all Americans.
