Depending on the truck, and the power train that it came with, you may need to replace the transmission, motor mounts, drive shaft and front suspension. You also will need to replace the exhaust system, and computer controls!

It can be done, but it is not a quick change job!!!

A donor car is your most cost effective bet.
Something unassuming and rear wheel drive that already has a Chevrolet V-8 like a done in for Impala that you can pic up for cheeeeeeep.
That way you can get the engine cradle mounts, front of engine accessories, transmission, drive yoke, etc.
A $200 beater can supply you with thousands of dollars of parts and trinkets

i own a repair shop,and all you need is the installation kit with the motor mounts and stands ,that's the best way to do this one any of these vehicles ,i have done several of them,and all you need is the kit to make it easy,good luck,i hope this help,s.
