Last night my brother and I were having a conversation and he interrupted himself to tell me that I am so pretty. He even asked his wife "isn't Jackie pretty." All day today I would glance into a mirror to see what he saw. I am 57 and have not been told that I was pretty in quite some time. What do you think?

He probably saw something in your expression that reminded him of a time you were beautiful or maybe you resemble your mom and he thought she was beautiful.

He still loves and thinks that his sister is pretty even at 57 years old. It is nice for a woman to hear that no matter what age she is.

What a really sweet brother! Maybe he felt that telling you how pretty you are, is something you really needed to hear at that point. Gotta love him for it!!!
I think being told you are pretty is something you should hear often.

Don't question a compliment. And don't try to "see what he saw" when you look in a mirror. If you're really bothered by what he said, then ask him why he said it.
