draw from strong genuine emotion from your heart. Think about a personal experience that moved you the way you want the song to move your listeners. AVOID the empty American Idol - Whitney Houston "urban yodeling" that so many people think makes good singing these days. Genuine emotion always rules. Good luck with your acting career.

Don't try to impress. Just sing, let the music flow through you, not from you. When you consciously "try", then that's when you start embellishing, altering, putting yourself first and the music second.
Let the beauty of the song, with your own vocal nuances speak for itself.

By singing it perfectly, that way people pay more attention to the song instead of you, which is what you want anyways, right?

Just don't make too many extreme facial expressions. Look cool and relaxed as if you've been singing for years.
(Maybe you have??)

P.S. Also, don't fling your arms all over the place. You can move them, just not too much.
