Yes, but remember that all the other states do not have a National Health system you have to pay for treatment, and in some states Health insurance is Obligatory and it is not cheap, you may also have to take an assurance for loss of earnings if you are ill as well, as it is only the British that welcome all the hangers on, most any where else if you don't work you don't eat.

If you wish to work anywhere in Europe you can as we are all part of the EU, but wages are low, hours are long and contract deals unreliable. No NHS, no free housing, no dole (in Spain you can claim but only if you've worked previously and your contract hasn't been renewed. Then you will only get a certain amount, no help with mortgage etc, and no long term unemployment benefit for those who wish to lay on the beach all day!!)
If I were you I'd stay where you are the benefits you all get in the UK far outweigh anything anywhere else believe it or not.

yes you can, but it will be easier if you can speak some of the language if you want to work properly and get the most out of it.

And as for the conditions, it depends where you go and what you do.

In luxembourg in banking we get 7 weeks paid vacation every year, pay less tax than the UK, and we have subsidized health and pensions too... in the insurance industry they get more bank holidays, but less annual vacation...plus unemployment lasts for 6 months at 90% of previous salary (that's after the employer has finished paying 4 months severance!)

In the EU Institutions anywhere in Europe (Luxembourg, Strasbourg, Brussels, you have very good conditions, high salaries, and low taxes (10% ?) but you'd need a good degree, plus a masters degree, and fluency in 2 EU languages apart from English...

So the jobs you can get will depened on where you want to work, and what qualifications you have...

Good luck...

Up to a point yes you can but don't expect the perks we give others, you will not be allowed to jump on the local free housing bandwagon, unemployment benefits are a no no, you will need health cover as no free NHS, and if you break the law you will be caught, tried and sentenced, imprisoned in a dudgeon with no colour telly and games consul and with no time off for good behaviour

Yes you can. If you are well qualified you could be a lot of use to the Eastern European countries but the pay won't be up to much. If you are unqualified its best to stay at home or go to Australia or New Zealand

Yes but dont expect any of the extras that this government gives to all the immigrants that we have. No state or country is softer and more anti British than the British government. Good luck.
