I have surgery scheduled the first week of March. I know all about the procedure, how it is done, etc. I have done my homework. Here is the issue: I recently eloped and am planning on having a reception for my family and friends to celebrate. Of course I want to look my best so I am waiting until after the surgery to have the reception. For those of you that have had breast reductions, do you think that mid-April is too soon? Am I going to be too sore and uncomfortable by then to be up to it? It is going to be fairly informal, so no high-tech undergarments or anything like that....

I was a quick healer with my breast reduction and up and about around the two-three week mark.

However some girls are still feeling worn out with small tasks at the one month mark.

I think as long as you take it easy and if your body tells you to rest you REST, you should be ok. That is, pending no complications with your surgery.

Congrats!

NOWAY!!!! wait aboy 4-6 months! i had a breast redcution, altho u will be able to move freely, there still might be some tenderness to them and hurt from bouncing and dancing around! and bra's? FORGET IT! especially underwire! if i were you, i'd wait til YOU feel comfortable... too much stress on the area can cause alot of pain and alot of healing problems!
