Pi is simply a ratio. it is the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter. In any perfect circle, the ratio will ALWAYS be pi, roughly 3.14159:1
Pi is also an infinite number, meaning that it can be calculated to an infinite number of decimal places. i put 3.14159 because you can round it to that, but Pi has been calculated to 1.24 trillion decimal places, according to a claim made in 2005...

Pi is a irrational number that is used when you calculate the cirumference of a circle. Throughout the years, many mathematicians have tried to calculate the value of pi. But to now, many have not noticed a pattern.
Pi is acutally the ratio of the circumference of a circle to the diameter of a circle. In many cases, pi is approximated to 3.14, 3.142 or 22/7.

Nobody knows what pi is.
People know what Pi is about, but nobody knows what Pi is, because there are an infinite number of decimal places.
Pi is the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter.
Contrary to what others might say, pi is NOT 22/7

circle's circumfrance=2*pi*radius
circle's diameter=2*radius
hence pi=circle's circumfrance/circle's diameter
that was mathematical definition i.e. ratio of circumfrance to that of its diameter. it is an irrational no. expressed as 22/7=3.1415926536 approx to 10 decimal places

The ration of a circles circumfrence to its diameter. It starts out like 3.1415927 and goes a long way out, they have figured it to over millions of digits, but 7 digits is as much as I can remember.
22/7 is the closest fraction with a denominator under 100 but if you figure it in decimals it starts out as 3.1428571. So, almost, but not quite.
