i forgot the administrator password so i signed in as guest and typed the following in the command window to retrive the administrator password
net user administrator/random
i was told this would work but it say the sytex of the command is not correct
can somone plese tell me the correct command

i have just tryed this
net user administrator /random
but it says access denied is there a nother command that will do it

There isn't a command to reset the administrator password if you don't know it - that would defeat the whole point of having one in the first place and allow systems to be easily hacked.

However there are ways of getting the password, but they are all fairly complicated. They usually involve downloading a cut-down operating system that can be written onto a CD, which you then use to boot your system and use a utility on the CD to reset the password. Not really sure, but I suspect you need a space after the word administrator
