Actually, I do have a gap between my two front teeth. It isn't exactly huge, but significant. My parents couldn't afford braces with 4 kids, so I'm stuck with them. I'm an adult now and do have dental insurance, but I figure, why? What's the point? I've dealt with them for almost 30 years now and besides, nobody that loves me really cares about it anyway. They love me for me, not my teeth. And to be honest with you, I can't recall that I've ever been teased about it. At least nobody ever had the guts to say anything to my face. In fact, there are a couple of people I know that had braces and they both told me they wish they never got them because they are painful and the older you get the longer you need to have them on.

I have a small gap between my 2 front teeth. I have never been called names. The last time I went to the dentist, she told me there is a procedure she could do to fill in the gap. If you are being called names, and it is driving you bonkers, perhaps you can see how much it costs. If you are younger and getting braces, don't worry, because braces will close the gap!

Yes, I did, and so did my daughter, so it must be genetic. It was a huge gap between our 2 front teeth, probably the width of one tooth. We both had buck teeth, also. We were both called bucky beaver, but that had nothing to do with the gap as beavers do not have one. We both have had braces to correct both of our problems & what a difference it makes. I must say that my daughter is probably one of the most physically attractive gals, (I am her mother, though) as everyone always comments about her beauty and sparkling white gorgeous teeth. When we go to the mall together, men look at her hard & I have to beat them off with a stick.

OMG! I used to have like, this MILE gap between my two front teeth! I have braces now, and it's gone, but I know how annoying it is. I didn't get called names, but I imagine that some peeople do. I used to joke about it a lot, and act like I didn't care, so people generally didn't comment. Before I got braces I had to have this bit of gum between my two front teeth removed which hurt, but Im so glad of it now coz my gap has completely gone. If you have a gap just ignore it, REMEMBER DIONNE FROM X FACTOR!
hope this helps x

Well I was in 1st grade and I had a HUGE gap between them. So my mom went to the orhto. and aksed them about that. And then that tissue above those teeth was removed by a lasser. The procedure is more complicated now but it still helps the gap go away. And it doesn't hurt a bit!!!!! I hope this helps you!

* Yes and Yes, and they were bucked toothed also, but I got four front teeth knocked out in 1970 in high school and had them transplanted and the dentist put them back without space and straight, but they fell out and I had to wear a parsal, but I lost it so for 11 years now I have been toothless and then last June a kid ran in front of me while on my motorcycle and I hit the pavement face first at 50 miles and hour and now those teeth I did have are broke up and croocked and the right side of my face is caved in, but at age 55 I don't care what people say about me anymore.*

Yes, I have a 1.5 millimeter gap in between my front teeth. We think it might somehow be genetic, because both my parents and my little brother have it. Nobody calls me names, but I can whistle really, really loudly.

Yes, I have. The time I broke my front tooth playing Carnival at the beach. I had to go to the dentist. It was painful but he fixed it. It has turned yellow. I guess it is time to change it...I am afraid.
