It has nothing to do w our type of government.
News channels follow & question people because they know what their viewers are interested in. What they show is molded to draw more viewers, which translates into higher rates for the commercial time they sell.

We don't live in a democracy. We live in a Republic. I have no idea of who the person you are talking about is, and haven't heard any news station ask about him.
