I just recently opened a Used Car Dealership. I have a high traffic location. The rent on the lot seems pretty cheap $525 per month. I'm licensed by the state, have a financial backing, etc. I've got leads now, have sold several vehicles, I'm able to offer financing through a financial service. What I'm wondering. I've been doing okay now, but there are alot of people out there with tax money now. Should a business still do well even when all the tax money goes away. (My business is in the United States. ) ANY ADVISE IS APPRECIATED.

You need good employees that can work together as a team. You could offer all the incentives in the world, but it wouldn't matter if your sales staff treats your customers poorly.

HI: You have all of the bases covered. You have to get the community talking about you. Offer something that will keep your business in the mind of others.

Offer a free drawing - One entry for each point awarded. Points are awarded for ownership of a car. {(don't tell the public this) 10 points for a 2007 - 2005, 8 points for a 2004 - 2001, 6 points for a 2000 - 1998, 5 points for 1998 - and older.}

You will get all the names and addresses of all the vehicles that may come up for sale. You can advertise to the owners, offering the highest price if they give you 90 days notice that they wish to sell. You will be able to line up buyers and inspect cars without spending money before the sale.

Before the new car dealer gets the news that someone wants to sell their old car, you will know and will be able to offer a deal that can be worked out without investing money. You can give away two or three DVD players that work in cars.

Just one idea.
