ok how do u get rid of a zit fast without popping it My friend Mandy has a zit that is as big as a mountain on her face(ok not really but u get the picture) i am trying 2 give her advice but I cant really cuz i have never really had a zit b4 i told her not 2 worry about it but she is a big drama queen so its not doing any good...THIs needs 2 be quick becuz she is going 2 see some1 2nite if u know what i mean so asap PLEAZZZZ i hate 2 see her lk this. I kno its just a zit but it can still be embarrising to think that every1 is looking at it...THANKS....OH and i am Not asking about how a good friend i am or not 2 her i am asking HOW DO U GET RID OF A ZIT...ThankU this yahoo answers is a life saver!!

The big thing is not to dry out the rest of the skin. One of my friends had a huge breakout before a formal dance, in which she would be wearing an off-shoulder gown. Every half hour, I gently scrubbed her shoulders with a soapy washrag, and had her sit until it was dry. Rinse, wash, repeat. After 4 tries, the acne was pretty dried out, and she took a regular shower. We moisturized her back, so that it wouldn't be flaky or scaly.

Otherwise, using q-tips and peroxide, every 15 minutes or so, on the pimple itself, can help dry it. If vitamin e oil is handy, that could be applied 20 minutes before showering. It's sticky, so it'd have to be washed off before going out.

If the pimple is down near her mouth, she can make up her eyes a little more, and only do a gloss or chapstick on the mouth. If it's higher up on her face, she can make up her lips a little more (but nothing tacky or overdone -- just leaving the eyes alone a bit more).

Regardless, putting coverup, powder, or foundation on top of a breakout will nearly always look gross. Plus, the makeup will make the breakout worse in the long-run. After she gets out of the shower, and about 1/2 hour before she puts on make up and does her hair, she could use an ice pack (or just an icecube) to reduce the swelling and size of the pimple itself.

In the meantime, focus more on just feeling happy and confident about better attributes.

And for tomorrow, she really should try the vitamin e oil. It helps scars and scabs go away a LOT faster. And it's cheap. And great for chapped lips and hangnails.

you can get a zit to develop more quickly and therefor go away more quickly by putting a hot (as hot as you can stand it) compress on the zit. This will 'bring it out' more quickly.

im afraid that wont be gone by tonight.
have you tried a warm compress that will help reduce it and the warmth of it may pop the spot itself.
toothpaste on it for a few hours ay reduce the redness.

Hmmm well, you could try putting some olive oil on it or some Rosemary oil on it. Have her wash her face with some warm water, that'll help.
