No they don't because American games are NSTC when UK games are PAL unless Ur PS2 is Multinational

I'm afriad you can't because PS2 have region code which means a PS2 from US only can play games from US.

No. US uses NTSC-E, while UK uses PAL, and because the games and consoles are region locked, you can't use PAL on NTSC or vice versa.
